This is a cel of Kirimaru, Rantarou, and Shinbei. It's a perfect pose! They're obviously not at the school, because they've got their cloth furoshiki over their shoulders.

This is a cute cel of Rantarou, exhausted! It goes with the cel of Shibei and Kirimaru below, but is not stuck. These cels were well cared for and are in beautiful condition. According to the seller, they were obtained from an event in 1996.

And here are Kirimaru and Shinbei, similarly exhausted. It's a shame you can only see Kiri-chan's back, but that's okay.

I actually like this cel a lot because it's very dynamic. Unfortunately, it's got some line fading in the kids' clothes (not really visible in the scan). But I think it's really cute!

Here's another cel of the three running for class. Poor kids, they look exhausted. These new scans are a little light. I'll probably rescan these cels later.

This is one of a five-cel set. All five cels are from the same sequence, and it shows the kids being surprised by something. The cool part of this is actually a congratulatory letter that came with the cels - apparently these five cels were a prize given away by Asahi Shogakkusei Shimbun in 1994.

This cel is pretty badly damaged, although it looks better on the scan than it does in person. There's a lot of paint and line loss. I did the best I could to clean it up, but there's only so much you can do when the person selling it stored it for 10 years without any protection in a pile of other cels which all stuck to each other. In this cel in particular, there was a lot of trace-line loss. Unlike many cels, these cels have the trace lines on the same side as the paint, and they got pulled off and stuck to other cels along with the paint. I was able to actually rescue part of Rantarou's mouth from another cel and stick as much of it as possible back onto this cel with a little pressure from my fingers. In order to keep track, I've noted all these damaged cels with the label, "From the stuck-together cel set 06-05."
