Jiya-san
Jiya-san (sometimes called "Ojiichan") is the eccentric, sometimes a little scary, old man who brought Manmaru to Nenga. He actually owns the mountains that the Nenga, Iga, and Kouga ninjas live on, and they owe their ability to continue living their lifestyle without a lot of interference from humans to Jiya. Jiya-san thinks that Manmaru is CUTE!! He also believes that Manmaru may have the power to end the fighting that has been going on in the mountains between the ninja clans for the past 300 years.

Shirosa
Shirosa is a really cool guy, a lone wolf. Literally. He often speaks in metaphors; he is "the wind", and like the wind, likely to change direction at any minute. Though not really an enemy, he is Nenga's rival.

Ranko
Ranko is a character created for the anime. She's a kunoichi (girl ninja) rabbit. She also has a serious crush on Shirosa. Her dream is for him to accept her as his student, and so she spends all her time trying to find ways to impress him. She eventually shows up in the manga after the tv series began, but was never a very important character there.
