Now that you have decided to adopt a namekuji, it is vital that you learn how to take good care of your new pet. Your namekuji will be a faithful friend, but it is up to you to keep it happy and healthy. There are four key factors to remember in order to look after namekuji.
1. Feed your namekuji
Your namekuji will thrive if you feed it regularly, at least 3 times a day. Namekuji have been known to survive by eating surprising types of food, but they seem to prefer green leafy vegetables.
2. Exercise your namekuji
Like all pets, namekuji need regular exercise. Taking your namekuji for walks during the day will help it to be able to sleep through the night. It will also help prevent your namekuji from becoming overweight, a condition that can lead to serious health problems for your namekuji.
3. Keep your namekuji
While you may think that it seems cruel not to let it roam free, namekuji actually prefer to live in small, dark, damp, quiet places. It's best to keep your namekuji in an earthenware jar, although a glass aquarium is also acceptable (but make sure there are plenty of leaves or damp wood for them to hide under!). Not only will this make your namekuji happy, but it will also prevent it from running all over your house and making a mess while you're not home.
4. Love your namekuji
It should go without saying, but make sure you give your namekuji lots of love and attention. If you love your namekuji, you will have a loyal and brave companion for life.
If you follow these 4, easy steps, you will be surprised at how your namekuji will thrive!
