This is the upgraded version of Ryu-Paladin Zephyr fighting one of the Jaryuuzoku Dooms in episode 47. The cels are slightly mismatched, and unless the Zephyr cel was used in a completely different episode/scene, it seems to have been cut from the actual anime. The Zephyr cel is number C1, but the first frame of Zephyr in this scene in the anime is already facing away from the audience and toward the Doom.

Gesshin has a very determined look on his face, ready to do what has to be done in order to protect Earthtia. Episode 47.

Believe it or not, this is actually a cel from a sequence very high on my wishlist. Adeu was VERY upset, unable to accept what had happened in the previous episode, and was taking his frustration out on a poor, defenseless tree. This was a really emotional part of episode 48. I loved this scene! The light color of the screen cap is due to a lighting effect used in the scene.

I wasn't going to even scan this one for now, but I'm glad I did. It's from Adeu's "flashback" scene in the beginning of episode 48.

Not the best cel in the sequence, but at least I got one. First Adeu grabbed Gratches, and then Gratches knocks his hands away and grabs Adeu. This is one of those in-between cels where Gratches is just about to grab Adeu. Episode 48.

This is just a really nice facial expression for Adeu. He's still a twit. But I actually can take him seriously, especially towards the end of the series. This is from episode 48. Gratches just told Adeu some things he didn't want to hear, and he's a little upset.

Poor sad Adeu. After arguing with Gratches he went off to be alone. And cry. ;_; Episode 48.

My first good cel of some of the bad guys, jaryuuzoku. Love the dragon guy in the background. ^_^ This is from episode 48, during the scene when Gratches levels up his ryu.

This is a great cel of the fight between Shinebaram and the Jaryuuzoku's Doom in episode 48.

I think this is from the same fight as the cel above based on the battle damage.

This is a nice cel of Gratches in his ryu, with some really nice shading. He's just turning to face Adeu. Episode 48.

This is a really nice face-shot of the leveled-up version of Gratches' Ryu, Shinebaram. SPOILERS -> All the Ryus leveled up near the end of the series. This particular cel is from the fight between Gratches and the Doom in episode 48, right before he defeated it and appeared to die in front of Adeu. <- END SPOILERS

I'm pretty sure this is from the scene on the cliff at the beginning of episode 48.

This is a wonderful serious moment from near the end of the series. It takes place at night, which is why the colors are so dark. I had a little trouble scanning it because of the colors. Also, the apparent crease in the upper left is only a crease in the pencil, which is unfortunately completely stuck to the cel. SPOILERS -> From episode 49. Katze went to find the others for dinner, and she overheard them talking. Her brother wanted to leave her behind. Stupid Hittel! Do you really think Katze is going to let you run off and die without her? <- END SPOILERS

This is a great shot of Katze and Hittel inside their ryu, Delingar. It's a great cel, four layers! The only problem is that the cel of Hittel's head is from a few frames earlier in the scene. Oh well. SPOILERS -> This is also from episode 49. Katze wouldn't be left behind, of course! She just leapt from the top of the cliff into the ryu. <- END SPOILERS

From episode 49, this is a great cel of Katze and Hittel inside Delingar. I love the look on Hittel's face - it's so unusual for him to look that emotional!

Yay! I got another ryu cel. This one is the face of Ryu-ninjamaster Bakuretsumaru, the leveled up version of Sarutobi's ryu. It took about an hour to separate the cel from the pencil, but I think it was worth it. There is no paint in most of the white areas on the cel. I scanned it a second time against a black background, and the effect is breathtaking. Check out the little jewel on his forehead - it practically glows! This cel is from episode 49 SPOILERS -> from a scene where Sarutobi dives down at his enemy with the sun at his back - the technique used by Gratches, while saying how he would fight Gratches' share. <- END SPOILERS This scene actually had a couple of special effects, including backlighting and a superimposed image of Sarutobi fading into the mech (you can see the shadow of Sarutobi on Bakurestumaru's face in the screencap).

This is a good face-shot of the leveled up version of Katze/Hittel's ryu, Delingar. Hittel spins the guns so fast that you get a lot of speed lines. The speed lines are really cool - they aren't airburshed. It's like the painter just swiped a paintbrush across the front of the cel. Unfortunately, the moment with this particular cel also has some weird lighting effect, so it's hard to see in the actual scene. SPOILERS -> Yet another from episode 49. They just began their "final fight" against the Jaryuzoku. <- END SPOILERS

And this is a nice cel of Katze from a scene during a battle against the Jaryuzoku (eps 49). I love the special effects! Beautiful airbrushing, not even damaged. And the main cel is A1END.
